Build 2000011212M13: Linux 6.0 Build 2000011813M13: Mac 8.5.1 Overview: Resize the 3-pane window, smaller or larger, and the size is not remembered after Closing or Exiting. Steps to Reproduce: 1. From the Browser open Mail 2. Resize the 3-pane window smaller 3. Select File|Close 4. From the Browser open Mail again 5. Resize the 3-pane window larger 6. Select File|Quit 7. Restart Mail Actual Results: After step #4 and step # 7, The 3-pane window goes back to its original size. Expected Results: After resizing the 3-pane window, the new dimensions should be saved for the next mail session after a File|Close or a File|Exit. Additional Information: - NT4 build 2000011416M13: The size of the 3-pane window is remembered after Closing and Exiting. - Could the Linux problem be depended on bug# 14513?

this works for me. Both steps 4 and 7. Waiting for you to say this works for you too before marking WORKSFORME.
Ignore my last comment. I saw NT in the OS and didn't read the bug carefully enough. I will try other platforms before saying that it works for me.
this doesn't work on Linux. It doesn't for the browser either. I'm going to assume that if it works on Windows and not on Linux that it must be an xpfe bug (please reassign back if it isn't.). reassigning to trudelle.

Build 2000-03-06-10M15: NT4 Build 2000-03-06-13M15: Linux 6.0 Build 2000-03-02-08M15: Mac 8.5.1 Resizing appears to work on my systems. The problem on Linux that I see is if the position of the window changes then this is not saved (Bug# 24363).
Window position and sizing persistence has been working for a while. This bug works on the named platform (the only remaining problems I know of are the usual problem on X of fighting with the window manager for who gets to position the window, and bug 31086.)
