Can't download a new dictionnary for spell checking.

Details
I want to spell check an email written in french.
I click on the spell-cheking button.
Select download more from the language drop-down menu.
nothing happens.
I close the spell-cheking sheet and I get the following message :
"
Error launching browser window:TypeError:
Components.classes['@mozilla.org/appshell/component/browser/instance;
has no properties
"
My default browser is of course set to camino.app.
