When visiting the site to install Pinball 0.8.1, it lists the OSX version of the
theme.

Hmmm.  And today it worked.

OK, here's the problem:  
On http://update.mozilla.org/themes/?application=firefox it says 

Most Recent:
1 - Pinball 0.9.3
(July 17, 2004 8:47:21pm)

And that points to ver 338.  So I think the problem is the front page of the
extensions isn't querying based on my OS.

humm, the frontpage version checking is broken (Bug 246746), so it could be
related to that, or it could be related to the strange ordering (Bug 248919).
Thanks for reopening. Does it only do it on the frontpage or is showlist.php
doing it as well?

The extension/theme index pages serve as an overview. The Most Recent list
doesn't care about OS's. It's just showing what's new to the system and if that
happens to be a new Mac Theme, then it shows it.

Filter for OS. Same as the showlist query.. shows All + OS-specific.

The fix for Bug 252294 will be applied also to the changes here.

Well, maybe we need to change the name from Most Recent to either Recently
Updated or New to System
