Details

Since I updated to version 0.7 of Thunderbird I can recognize that the new mail
notification isn't fired every time when new mail arrive. I'm using a global pop
account to manage all mails inside one account. 

Could this be a side effect of implementing this feature? See bug 30057.
Possible dupe of bug 164226.  I saw these results under 1.8 while using the 
deferred feature (deferring one account to another's inbox, but the new mail not 
getting notified was both for the original account and for another account that 
was not deferred).  I've also seen it with TB 0.7, but I have no deferred 
accounts set up in TB.
