I have used Sylpheed for quite a while and that has a capability of exporting
mail into .mbox format. I have used that for portable backing up my mail and I'd
like to continue using that in Mozilla Thunderbird. Feedback much appreciated.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Look in menus
2. Look for Export...
3. ;-P

Actual Results:  
I could not find it ;P

Expected Results:  
Give me that Export menu item! ;)

I support this too. Importing and exoprting mbox files should be easy to
implement and provide maximum compability with other mail clients.

Mozilla/Thunderird mail format is fully mbox compatible, isn't?

Well, export/import of mail-folders is very good idea. Users are often asking
how to backup their mails. And such answers as "go to the folder C:/Documents
and setting/username/ and manually copy the files XY.." are too much difficult
for them and seems like program is not abe to backup data. Program is bad...

But "Select folder and press File/Save folder as..." (which does the same thing
as copying) is simple to implement and very usefull.

And then you need reverse method such as Import folder (which does the same
thing as copying new folder into the Thunderbird mail dir, but is simple for users).

In this way should be users able to move their mails from one computer to
another event without help of Mozbackup.

Is there _any_ export formats? If not, it's definitely NOT just enhancement.
