User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040626 Firefox/0.9.1
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040626 Firefox/0.9.1

This works with a single message, but not with two or more messages. This works
fine for other identically named folders, but not for Sent.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. select the IMAP Sent folder
2. top menu Edit -> Select -> All
3. right click in message pane and Move To -> Local Folders -> Sent

Actual Results:
Hour glass pointer appears for a minute or so and then nothing.

Expected Results:
All selected messages should have been moved from the IMAP Sent folder to the
local Sent folder.
Using build 0.7+ 20040818 I see the same problem. It appears that the IMAP Sent
folder does not allow moving multiple messages to any Local folder. I even
tried writing a filter to do it, but no go. Drag and Drop, menus and filters
all fail here. Other IMAP folders are unaffected. Typically I see no activity
(hourglass, statusbar message, etc.) indicating that anything at all is happening.
I too can confirm this issue. Using TB 0.8 on Windows XP.

I have a webmail account with netaddress.com; they provide IMAP4 access via a
server at imap.postoffice.net.

I can multiple-move and multiple-copy messages in my Inbox just fine (changes
are represented via IMAP access and when logged into webmail, as expected). But
when operating on the Sent folder, as described by the original submitter and in
the prior comment, I can only move or copy one message at a time. If I try with
more than one, nothing happens -- no message, nothing.

I can't say whether this is an anomaly with Thunderbird or the IMAP
implementation on the server side.
I can confirm this on TB 1.0 as well.
Can you try generating an imap protocol log with tomorrow's nightly trunk
thunderbird build?

I've added some more logging to help diagnose this.
David,

Thank you for checking into this. I did not notice your most recent comment
until a few days ago.

I stumbled onto bug 275836 (which appears to be a dup of this issue) where the
comments suggest this might have been fixed. No luck for me using the
2005-02-16 Windows trunk build.

Per your suggestion I did generate a log, using that build, of an attempt to
move three messages from the "Sent" folder (which contains 77 messages) to a
local folder. As before, nothing happens, no error messages. The workaround
suggested in the comments to #275836 DOES work (Sent->Trash, then Trash->Local
Folders) but that's ugly!

I will send the log to you via email because I don't want to post its
potentially sensitive contents here.

If I can provide further information please feel free to continue this dialog or
contact me via email.
fix should be in tomorrow's trunk builds.
