The message list display is reset to the top of the list at each check for new
messages.  This is annoying when I am looking at a message way down the list and
suddenly the list scrolls back to the beginning.  It is a huge usability issue,
probably should be greater than Normal severity.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. set check for new messages to 1 minute
2. look at an Inbox which has a message list long enough to require a scroll bar
3. scroll to the bottom of the list and select the last message
4. wait for 1 minute to elapse 
5. observe message list return to top by itself

Actual Results:  
message list returns to top of list by itself and current message is deselected
(but still displayed in the message window)

Expected Results:  
message list does not scroll until I tell it to scroll and currently selected
message remain selected

I also tested it with the new check interval at 2 minutes and observed the same
behavior at 2 minute intervals.
