Starting with the 20041016 Firefox latest-0.9 Linux gtk2 build, whenever I click
on the 'Logon' button on http://www.hsbc.com.hk/, this causes firefox to crash.
This is the first build which has Firefox 1.0 RC1 in the About dialog.
I have filed 2 Talkback reports on this, one with my existing profile
TB1344555W and one with a completely new profile TB1344711Q
The same action with the 20041015 build causes a new window which allows me to
enter username/password and logon to the HSBC Internet Banking website.
Marking this as critical and regression and going to nominate for
blocking-aviary-1.0 since HSBC is a major worldwide bank.

Subject: Crashing on Windows
From: Blake Ross
There are lots of reports of crashes/hangs, at least on Windows, when
navigating from one page to another using today's aviary nightly. I
submitted two talkback reports with stack
nsViewManager::CreateBlendingBuffers, but it seems like the stacks tend to
vary-although all end up in view manager functions. The other characteristic
of the hang is that a bar about the size of the find toolbar typically
appears at the bottom of the screen when it begins to hang as you switch
pages. The bar is gray (i.e. unpainted). This is very weird, and I'm not
sure why your code would cause this, but at the same time, the crash is in
the view manager. I did check in a bunch of find toolbar fixes, too, but I
never open the find toolbar on a random click in the page, so it's baffling.
Subject: More information
From: Blake Ross
Okay, I don't think it's actually the size of the find bar -I think it's the
size of the "Missing plugins" information bar at the top that seems to
appear at all the pages which crash when you navigate away. For example, on
Windows, I can reproduce this every time by going to georgewbush.com and
clicking one of the "5 ways to help right now!" links, but that's because
I'm missing Flash 7.0 and the plugins installer bar appears. When I hide the
bar, it doesn't hang.

Probably due to bug 232554 (fixed in Bugzilla repository but not applied to
b.m.o yet). In the meantime I've deleted the ghost flag.
