While the new mail notification sound plays, the UI is totally frozen.  Using a
WAV file that lasts more than a second or so makes this a particularly annoying
problem.

The UI returns to normal once the sound finishes playing.

Seems there has been a possibly related comment in bug #110385, regarding the
MailNews product.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Set "Custom .wav file" to something at least one second long.
2. Wait for new mail to be received.


Actual Results:  
UI freezes for the entire time that the notification sound plays.

Expected Results:  
Sound should play in the background, leaving UI usable.
...I figure this is mailnews level stuff
