seen on Windows 1.0.1 2005-03-09-09 -select any plain ol' message -Click Forward -Send the message to yourself with a "simple message" -Retrieve and preview the message tested results: "simple message" is displayed twice; once as expected and then again below a line seperator in place of where the original message content is expected. -right click on the attachment and click Open. In the attachment, we see "simple message" instead of the parent message content. expected results: The original content is displayed in preview and in the attachment.

From: Robert Lindström <robert.lindstrom@microcraft.se> Organization: Microcraft AB To: asa@mozilla.org Hi I've updated to 1.0.1 just now. (I previously ran 1.0.) After this update it seems like all my forwarded mails doesn't work correct. The mail I'd like to forward is attached to a new mail, but only contains my signature and a new attachment that contains my signature and a new attachment and so on...... It also seems to duplicate my signature in the forwarded mail. Is this perhaps a bug ? (I haven't changed any of my settings and it has worked fine in 1.0.)

for a while, I couldn't reproduce this on Mac --then I realized that it doesn't occur using plain text mail compose. 1. go into Mail Account Settings > Composition and make sure that you've selected HTML for the format of mail compose. 2. select a message --I used a plain text one that was in my Inbox. 3. hit the Forward button, but make sure you're forwarding as an attachment (not inline). 4. after the mail compose window appears, address it to yourself (for simplicity), then hit the Send button. 5. hit Get Mail and look at the message. results: the attachment isn't displayed inline. moreover, trying to open the attachement from the attachment pane results in a blank standalone window (rather than a standalone displaying the attachment content).

I'm pretty sure this was caused by Bug #212123 which is causing lots of horrible things to happen. Can you confirm that you don't see this in builds from the the 8th?

I am not seeing this problem on Win32 with 3/8 builds, but did start seeing weirdness with 3/9 builds.
