User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050317 Firefox/1.0.2 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050317 Firefox/1.0.2 If "display emoticons as graphics" is selected, the carat is auto-formatted so that the the part preceding it is normal, but the part after is super-scripted. The "^" disappears. This is annoying, because if you're e-mailing code or something like that, you need the carat to remain. This shouldn't be tied to the "display emoticons as graphics" option, because it's not really an emoticon (does not convey an emotion). Either that, or the "display emoticons as graphics" option should be re-named, so that's it's effect is more properly represented. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Make sure "display emoticons as graphics" is turned on. 2. Read an e-mail with a^b in the message text, where a and b are arbitrary. Actual Results: The a is displayed, with the b in superscript immediately following. The "^" disappears. Expected Results: It should be displayed as "a^b", since this isn't an emoticon.
