I save an e-mail as .eml file, then open it from File\Open saved message.
I want to copy or move it in a folder but TB doesn't do it.
After done this TB does not work correctly.
Some examples:
- you can't delete any email message in any folder
- you can't move any email message
- you can't copy any email (a new one, a reply, a forward) in "sent" or "drafts"
folder. TB can send it but then start copying it without success. You can only
click on "cancel" to stop the copying process. (This happen also with News messages)
To fix the problem you have to close and restart TB.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open TB and save a mail somewhere on your hard disk
2.In TB click on File\Open saved message and open the one you previously saved
3.In the open message click on Message\Move and choose one of your Local Folders.
4. Close the message and verify if it has been moved.
(you can try with "copy" feature too)
Actual Results:
The message doesn't appear in the choosed folder.
TB can't save any new message in "sent" folder. For example, after sending a
message TB starts copying it and never stop the process.
Expected Results:
It should have copied or moved my message in the choosed folder.

I experience the same problem with Thunderbird version 1.0.2 (20050317).

Confirmed on 1.0.2 (Gentoo Linux 20050326) and 1.0.2 (Windoze 2K 20050317).
Anybody working on this?

I can confirm the same behavior on version 1.0.6 (20050716) Windows XP.
Even the strange effects like not being able to delete email etc. still exist.
And by the way, the problem does not only exist with emails that have been
opened via "File/Open File..." but also with emails that are attached to other
emails (like any mail that was forwarded as an attachment). So I can't copy such
forwarded mail without the enwrapping mail that is normally of no interest) to a
folder.
This whole thing is very annoying and I'm wondering that not more people
complain and it is not fixed yet. So can others confirm and vote?

this is a dup - it's a known issue, and has not been fixed.

I was not successful in finding the dup.
Are bug 338537, bug 269826 related?
