On some javascript enhanced forms, such as the Quick Reply boxes on vBulleting forums, the title tag tooltip for the WYSIWYG controls displays for a long time even after the mouse has moved away from the image.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to a forum running vBulletin, and go into a thread with Quick Reply enabled (will need to be logged in)
2. Move your mouse over a WYSIWYG control until a tooltip appears
3. Move your mouse away from the control, and the tooltip remains visible for a couple of seconds before disappearing
Actual Results:
Title tag tooltip stayed visible after the mouse was moved away
Expected Results:
Title tag tooltip should have disappeared when the mouse moved off the image

I can confirm this (FF 1.5.0.5), it works even without Javascript.
A elements with title attribute will leave their title-tooltip on the screen if you switch virtual screens on XFCE/Linux.
DIV elements with title attribute the same.
Scenario to reproduce:
1.) go to http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luckenwalde
2.) Press CTRL
3.) Move mouse over the blue image at the right until tooltip comes up
4.) now press F1/F2 etc to switch virtual desk top (in combination with CTRL pressed before)
5.) tool tip will be on new virtual screen

Still seeing this in Firefox 3.0.5.
I'm debugging Flex applications running in Firefox.
When the debugger hits a breakpoint, the Firefox tooltip stays active and covers up part of my debugger screen. It essentially stays there forever, as long as the debugger is at a breakpoint. It's really annoying.

This bug was reported on Firefox 2.x, which is no longer supported and will not be receiving any more updates. I strongly suggest that you update to Firefox 3.6.3 or later, update your plugins (flash, adobe, etc.), and retest in a new profile. If you still see the issue with the updated Firefox, please post here. Otherwise, please close as RESOLVED > WORKSFORME
