Before this gets added to the list of reasons IE is "better" than SM...

We may want to offer a page that shows previews of all open tabs, lets you switch to one of the tabs, and can reload one or all of the tabs. I'm not yet convinced this is actually useful, so filing UNCO.
I prefer the tab sidebar idea.

That bug is for Firefox.
I started a discussion *against* this idea a little while ago - over on Mozillazine forums. Extensions such as Showcase do appear to be popular downloads, however - I question how often people actually end up using it once installed. I speak from my own personal experience, having at one time thought they were 'cool'. Now I see them as 'fluff', unneeded and unused eye-candy.

Having said that, I feel it is important for the 'base' FF product to keep on pace with the competing browsers, and if there is enough demand for this feature, then so be it. If it is implemented, just don't force it upon users as so many other recent changes have been - if you add something, make it possible to remove it to the Palette should a user wish.
