If you want anyone to look at this you should answer the following:
What product do you use? Sunbird, Lightning or Calendar Extension?
What version do you use? 0.2? 0.3a1? A nightly build?
Can you reproduce the error with an current nightly build from http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/calendar/sunbird/nightly/latest-trunk/ ?
version sunbird 0.3a1Fr
With US version (link you give me) can't make an exception date !!!!
Sorry for my bad english ;-)
Version: unspecified → Sunbird 0.3a1
If I use an ics file create with Sunbird 0.3a1 Fr with recurrent events and exception dates, Sunbird 0.3a1 US does not display the event for exceptions dates in day view BUT these exceptions does not delete because if I re-use O.3a1 Fr these days re-appears in day view!!! and as I use a share calendar with iCal Mac OSX these exceptions are displayed!
sorry for my english, I hope you understand me ;-)

This looks to me as though it might be a duplicate of bug 270995, which was recently fixed. Can you try a nightly build and see if the problem is still visible there?

As of a few days ago, you can make exceptions in these versions. Please test again.

The bugspam monkeys have struck again. They are currently chewing on default assignees for Calendar. Be afraid for your sanity!
