for example when I'm trying to write CAPITAL special polish letter [alt] + [shift] + [E] or any other special letter, thunderbird gives me only small special letters. with [capslock] on and without [shift] is the same.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. install polish language
2. try to write BIG special letter (left [alt] +: [E], [A], [S], [Z], [N])
3. if you can't, correct it please

Actual Results:
only small special letters are ok.

Expected Results:
give me BIG SPECIAL LETTERS

How do you configure Windows to handle those keystrokes as described? Is this
a standard action when running the Polish localization of Windows, or do you have to turn on some feature to make this work? Or are you running some additional, third-party keyboard driver that makes this happen?
I bought laptop with original 'fresh' preinstalled Windows XP Home, then I
installed Thunderbird 1.5.0.2. I didn't change configuration of operating
system and I didn't install additional drivers.

I've got Thunderbird 1.0. ... (I'm not sure but elder version) installed on
another computer with Windows 2000 and there everything (typing) works well.
That's me again!
I've just reinstall few bluetooth drivers and check Thunderbird again... And now everything is working well.
Sorry for disturbing. It was drivers' fault, not your software!

Reopened to fix resolution. Kamil Marekwica, in the future, please don't use "Fixed" unless there has been a patch checked in, somewhere, to address the problem.
