I have an IMAP mailbox. I have set up my Thunderbird so that it mirrors gmail's use of an 'archive' folder. All my sent mail sets filed in a folder called 'archive'. Once I have read and dealt with my email, i file it in the archive folder.

Using the quick search in this folder never works well.

Here is an exmaple mail header from an email in my archive.

When I seach for mail with sender=smith in the quick search box, this email is returned (along with many other emails, many of which are to:smith, or cc:smith.


Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Search for a name in the 'sender' quick search.

Actual Results:  
Emails with the searched for name in the 'to:' or 'cc:' field are returned.

Expected Results:  
Emails with the searched for name in the 'from:' field are returned.
