I'm in the process of re-writing the Thunderbird installer to use Rob Strong's new NSIS based installer.

We'll need to install NSIS on patrocles in order to build the new installer before we try to turn it on.

From the Firefox 2.0 installer bug 326580:

"In addition, you will also need NSIS in your path.
The latest released version works fine. http://nsis.sourceforge.net/"

Lemme know if you need me to find any more information out from Rob Strong, Rob :).

Axel, do we have to do anything to the l10n build machines for Thunderbird branch and trunk when we land the NSIS installer for Thunderbird?
Scott, you're back ;-)

A few comments: I don't think that we did an in-depth analysis of which
nsis releases are actually supported, that's still to come. I guess we should
have a bug on that.

Regarding the l10n tinderboxens, repackaging isn't done yet for fx, that's
bug 339714. I doubt that adds more requirements. But l10n tinderboxens are
creative when it comes down to reacting to changes as expected, get yourself
some quality build time when turning this on.
Rob, any chance NSIS could be installed on Patrocles tonight or early tomorrow? Thanks
NSIS 2.18 installed on Patrocles, and on the PATH.

Adding the fixed1.8.1 keyword since Patrocles builds both the trunk and the branch.
