- Go to http://newsrss.bbc.co.uk/rss/newsonline_world_edition/health/rss.xml - Scroll down and click on a link on the bottom - Click Back - Result: page does not scroll down
The real culprit is still bug 336903 I think. Because it is not quite recovered from bug 336903. I don't see this in branch in the yesterday's nightly.
It appears that fastback doesn't cache the subscription page anymore for some reason. I get the same bug if I turn off fastback on a branch build.
Last working build (where it remembered the position) was 1.9a1_2006062712. And the build where this function proved to be broken was 1.9a1_2006070513. So everywhere between these two builds it could have happened.
Hm, I see interesting behaviour. - Load http://newsrss.bbc.co.uk/rss/newsonline_world_edition/health/rss.xml - Scroll down and click on a link - Scroll down - Click Back And suddenly you'll see that it has imitated the scroll position of the link!

Well, not anywhere in there, since preview was only broken for installer builds; it was no longer being cached by the time I built 20060627 ~23:00, and despite the presence of a few cache-related things in that range, I'd say bug 336903 is pretty certainly the cause.
scroll positions are also stored when fastback is off... or that's the theory at least.
hmm, i tried to request blocking FF3.0 but that doesn't seem to be allowed anymore when you have EDITBUGS privs ? (I set target FF3, don't shoot me if that was a wrong thing to do)
Target Milestone: --- → Firefox 3
Should be possible, also without any rights I thought. Yeah. Who is sufficient empowered? Or maybe there is something wrong with the software?
annoying. requesting blocking.
Flags: blocking-firefox3?
This works in 2.0.0.1RC and trunk. Probably fixed by bug 347897.
