It seems like to ease the transition from Safari the keyboard shortcut for switching tabs should be CMD+{ / CMD+} rather than Camino's current CMD+OPTION+<- / CMD+OPTION+-> . This is a minor issue and I only request it because it seems like it would be such an easy and innocuous modification.

Reproducible: Always
Camino explicitly switched away from {/} as they are unintuitive and apparently difficult to use under some non-US keyboard layouts. This is WONTFIX, unless it's perhaps worth adding as a hidden, secondary key binding.
See discussion in bug 308115. This is a WONTFIX.

Hate to beat a dead horse, but what happened to the "unless it's perhaps worth adding as a hidden, secondary key binding" clause?

I think Stuart mentioned on the forums once that it might be hard to do, but Firefox seems to happily use both shortcuts. Is the Firefox code for this just a world of pain?
Actually Bug 601322 is not a duplicate because Safari has changed their keyboard shortcuts, they don't use {} any more.

Also, Bug 601324 is not a duplicate because it's requesting a different set of shortcuts from a different app, not Safari, which has different implications.
Summary: Keyboard shortcut for selecting tabs should be consistent with Safari (CMD+{ vs CMD+OPTION+<-) → Keyboard shortcut for selecting tabs should be consistent with Safari
There, are you happy? The reasoning for both remains the same.

No, I'm not really happy :-(

I can see consistent and reasonable opposition to many p-safari (and p-firefox if you like) things in the bug history, but it wasn't easy to find (not your fault of course). But the opposition to adding the safari shortcuts was based on the {} keys specifically, so I'm not giving up on that just yet.
