[Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.8.1) Gecko/20061005 SeaMonkey/1.1b] (nightly) (W98SE)

1. Display a message with a few To: adresses.
2a. Click on '+' to expand them all.
2b. (the '+' changes to '-')

3. Then, display another message with only one To: address.
r. The '-' changes itself to '+' instead of "hiding".

4. Then, display the first message again.
r. The '+' (mode) stays, instead of "remembering" the '-' (mode).

"3r" part seems fixed;
but bug still there otherwise.

(OS: Windows 98 -> Windows 2000, as I'm upgrading my computer.)

Same bug:
expanded state is not remembered for the list.
(Currently, "4r" is "hidden" by bug 366825.)

See attachment in dupe bug 369572 for a message which triggers this bug (on my machine, anyway). I don't even have to click the [+] for it to manifest.

FYI we have to collapse the twisty so that we can work out whether to show it.

On trunk I realise we have bug 355893 which may or may not be relevant.
However using a branch build, I have three messages:
1. Without any CC addresses
2. With only one CC address
3. With lots of CC addresses
4. With lost of CC addresses and expanding the twisty
I tried all possible combinations of switching between messages and at no time was the twisty's visibility incorrect. So unless I have misunderstood the bug, this is either WORKSFORME or WONTFIX (to remember the twisty state).
