Since about Oct. 01, in the Mail, I can not drag a letter into a subfolder (on left column). I have to use the move command. Pain on you know where.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to Mail
2. Click on a letter
3. Drag it to a folder on the left column
Actual Results:
No mail moved. Have to use the move to command.

At the moment, you can't really drag and drop anything, unfortunately. This is caused by the switch to cocoa toolkit (bug 326469). The drag and drop implementation is missing - that will be fixed in bug 332913.

Presumably this is a core issue, and this is a dupe of bug 355248?

Yeah, or the other way around. It doesn't really matter - this one is confirmed, though. I actually thought of duping this one against the core bug once I've had the time to make sure it's wfm (it should be).
Next week we see the 2 months anniversary for this bug (Built from Sept. 27th is the last where drag&drop works).
Any news here or in any other of the 20 associated/dependant bugs?

I am seeing this under Linux, too, so I don't think this is just a Cocoa issue. This started happening a week or so ago when I updated Seamonkey via Yum.
SeaMonkey 1.0.7
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.0.9) Gecko/20061223 MultiZilla/1.8.3.0a pango-text SeaMonkey/1.0.7

If you're on gtk 2.10.7 you might be seeing bug 367203. See also http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=394525
Will this problem ever be resolved? There seems to be no progress at all since Sept. 2006 (the built from Sept. 27th is the last one where it works).

This is not a SeaMonkey-specific issue, it's a problem in the cocoa widget code. This means that you won't see any activity here until all the core issues are resolved (I expect that this bug will just be resolved then). So, if you want to follow the progress of drag-and drop issues you should probably follow the core bugs. I first thought that bug 332913 was going to fix this, but I was wrong. But the toolkit apps have similar/the same problems and bug 358446 is marked blocking-1.9, so I'm pretty sure this will get fixed.

This have worked for a long time now. I can't remember what bug fixed this, so I'm resolving as wfm.
