User-Agent: Opera/9.02 (Windows NT 5.0; U; ja) Build Identifier: 1.5.0.7 (Windows/20060909) Spam messages are more and more often sent with an image attached, to bypass antispam filters. The body of the message may be empty or contain a few lines. I regularly forward spam to spamcop. To do this, I first of all show the message source, in order to get the full headers, then select the whole source and paste it into a new message. When I select spamcop address from my address book Thunberbird freezes completely and I have to terminate it. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. View > Message source 2. CTRL+A to select all 3. CTRL+C to copy 4. Compose new message 5. CTRL+V to paste 6. Select an address from the addess book (spamcop in my case, but I guess the bug is not related to the specific address chosen) Actual Results: Thunderbid freezes Expected Results: Continue and let me send the message I use only the default theme, the only extensions I have is a French dictionary

does this not happen with trunk or 2.0 builds? Does turning off spell check fix this? I'm wondering if it's actually the pasting that's causing the hang. If so, this is a dup of a fixed bug.
Sorry, I don't use beta builds. Next time I get a spam with an image I'll turn off spell checking before copying and pasting.
OK, turning off automatic spell check solved the problem.
(In reply to comment #2) > If so, this is a dup of a fixed bug. David, you mean bug 324521?
yes, thx, Mike. There are some other spell check improvement bugs, but that one's probably most relevant. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 324521 ***
