similar to how we don't spell check quoted text, should we spell check the subject line on reply or forward?

I agree, replied (or forwarded) text shouldn't be spell checked

I think this is a really bad idea that should *not* be implemented.
One can edit the subject for replies and forwarded messages, so it should of course be spell checked.

You can, but you SHOULD not. Editing a misspelled subject will only risk that it's not threaded properly.

At times it's necessary to change the subject. So why won't you have it spell checked?
Besides, as long as you don't click in the subject, the red underlines don't appear.
