Spin-off from bug 351380.
The datetextpicker has some cool text parsing capabilities, so that entering "tomorrow" or "Friday" selects the appropriate day. jminta originally put this in, but there was some controversy regarding ui-review, etc. so it was backed out. (See bug 351380 for all that.)
This bug is for determining whether or not we want this thing on, if the ui is adequate as it stands, and what other work or research is required.

As Christian already did some work on how we want to improve the views, I'd like him to comment on how this 'go to date'-functionality fits into the big picture.

I'd like to know more details about this feature. Could someone point me to a feature description?

we are _not_ going to do this before there is a spec or at least a description. I asked for one repeatedly, and nobody seems to have one or is willing to come up with something.
We need this description, because it's all but obvious how the language parsing should work. My standard example: what does 'tomorrow' mean: next day as defined by the current time, or by the current view?

Yes, I agree. Go ahead and do so yourself next time, I trust your judgment :-)
