Pascal, can you guide on what we need in terms of web pages for a release of Firefox 2 in Ukrainian? Nag, MDC, poke ;-)
Here is what we need for Web localization : a/ translation of the in-product pages b/ translation of the google snippets for the start page (depends on Google supported languages, to be determined with them) c/ optional but nice to have : Mozilla Europe in Ukrainian d/ optional but nice to have : Mozilla Developper Center in Ukrainian Points a/ and b/ are mostly a one-shot work, points c/ and d/ are a long term commitment to the project that require maintenance.

Note that the Firefox in-product pages have already been translated in Ukrainian.
oops, my bad, Ukrainian (uk) isn't translated yet, I was thinking of Georgian.

These files are in a legacy encoding, it should be UTF-8.
Oleksandr, could you send these files again in UTF8 instead of Russian encoding as indicated by Merk ? Also, you haven't translated the dictionary blurb on the pages: "Add British English Dictionary for Inline Spell Checking Install dictionary now" There is a Ukrainian dictionary on AMO (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/browse/type:3 So if this dictionary is not included in the UK version of Firefox, you should translate this sentence and link to it, otherwise just remove this paragraph. Pascal, can you take a look at the latest attachment?
The files are ok and already on svn : http://svn.mozilla.org/projects/mozilla.com/trunk/uk/firefox/ uk is not in the list of supported languages in our script, I am CCing Wil for that. Wil can you adjust langconfig.inc.php so as that uk is displayable on the staging server ? thanks
Uk is now visible on the stagind server: https://uk.www.trunk.stage.mozilla.com/uk/firefox/2.0.0.5/firstrun/ You need an LDAP account to connect to this page, Oleksandr, Tim, if you don't have one I can ask for its creation.
I don't see start page snippets on http://www.mozilla.org/start-snippets/, Pascal, any resolution on comment 1 /b for this? I see Ukrainian in the list of selectable languages on google, so I think we should get those up, too.
for 1b, the translation of the strings should be attached to bug #366268 once done, next step is to first publish the in-product pages for uk to the public site then publish the snippets (because the snippets link to the in-product pages), then ask google to include these snippets.

Can you tell where are the files for Mozilla Europe?
Oleksandr, translating mozilla europe is done via SVN and it requires SSH authentification, in other words I would need your public SSH key to create you and account. You can contact me by email for that.
