The general add-ons policy for translation is explicitly Firefox and web centric in its wording with examples like:

"<p>Your mail should include at <b>least</b> information about these things:</p>

<ul>

<li>how the web experience is improved for users</li>

<li>how your add-on is appropriate for a large portion of Firefox's users</li>"

or

"<h3>Is the add-on useful to an appropriately wide portion of Firefox's users?</h3>"

The requirements stated do not apply to Thunderbird of course, but also to other applications like Seamonkey and Sunbird. Furthermore, many popular Firefox extensions are not web-related (like Chatzilla, integrated instant messaging clients or P2P extensions).

The English version should use terms like "online experience", "the internet" or "Mozilla Applications" instead of a specific application (firefox) and "the web". Actually, an alias to the applications should be defined at the beginning of the document saying something like "Mozilla Supported Applications are Firefox, Thunderbird, Seamonkey and Sunbird" and then we would use the alias throughout the document, if we decide to support or stop to support an application in the future, only this definition would have to be updated and not the whole document.

English being the reference language, these vocabulary bugs should be fixed upstream before localization in X languages otherwise the edits will have to be later replicated in all locales (and it is a long document to translate)
