37683 - long text in status bar causes chrome to expand

on winNT build 2000043015 mousing over the "[Start a Conversation]" link causes 
the entire page to move around. If it helps, I've got the sidebar turned off.
This might be related to bug 29459.

Oh yes, this is a real problem in the 2000043015 build on WinNT.
If you leave the pointer over the "[Start a Conversation]" link, the layout 
alternates beween what appears to be a layout of the entire Mozilla window, 
including the viewport, that is wider than the WinNT window, and the original 
UI and page layout... most amusing ;-(. (The URL bar gets longer; the 
throbber is no longer visible). Going by how much the ad banner shifts, it looks
like the "wider" layout is ~1600px wide.

Not a problem in the 2000042808 build on WinNT. Marking as regression.

 ... perhaps having "http://" in the URI twice has something to do with this,
or perhaps the sheer length.  

The "[E-mail this story]" link appears to have the same format, except the
second "http://" appears to be URL-encoded. It also causes the same problem;
none of the other links on the page do:

This probably has to do with recent changes to the chrome to get rid of 
titledbuttons (purple in recent builds) and html (green) by replacing them with 
more XULish things.
