User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9a3) Gecko/20070322 GranParadiso/3.0a3 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9a3) Gecko/20070322 GranParadiso/3.0a3 If you've used IE in vista you'd know that after a while the status bar starts to pulse... can't really explain it unless you've seen it. I have yet to see this behavior in Grand Paradiso. I think this is a bug because every other program i've tried with vista that has a status/progress bar exhibits that behavior, except Grand Paradiso Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start Grand Paradiso 2. Load a web page 3.Pay close attention to the status bar on the bottom (or in the tabs if you have TMP and "show progress bar in tabs" enabled Actual Results: The bug is reproduced. Expected Results: The status bar should be displayed correctly like all the other programs in Vista (or that work with vista)
Kevin: If you are talking about the progress meter, it works fine for me on Vista using the latest trunk build. I don't see any other "pulse" going on when I compare it to IE.
animated progress bar is a special feature of some Vista specific software, but it's not a system wide usable api if i'm not wrong...
this isn't a bug but a RFE.

As this bug hasn't been fixed in over two years and the progress bar has been axed in FF4, isn't it alright to close this bug?
This seems to be (partially) fixed by Bug 641517. It just looks bad now because of Bug 656284...
Fixed now.
