User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8.1.3) Gecko/20070309 Firefox/2.0.0.3 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8.1.3) Gecko/20070309 Firefox/2.0.0.3 Recently went to version 2.0.03, and the browser now opens on the smaller monitor in my setup. Moving it to the larger monitor and maximizing it to that monitor doesn't help. The next time it opens, it is back on the smaller monitor. This doesn't happen with Opera, Safari, or Netscape browsers, so it's not my hardware or system software set-up. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Open Firefox 2.Move to desired monitor 3.Quit Actual Results: Always opens on smaller monitor.
So you're saying this did NOT happen in Firefox 1.5.0.x?
Version: unspecified → 2.0 Branch
Don't know about 1.5.x, but it is still happening with 3.1 beta 2. It also seems to be independent of the OS, it's bugging me on XP and Vista. After I "accidently" close Firefox at the secondary monitor, I have to restore/maximize a window twice at the primary monitor to have new windows opened there. PS: There are also a bunch of duplicates: 411592, 431653, 457544 ... don't know how mark them as duplicates.
sebastian, do you still see this problem in version 3.5 or newer? (In reply to comment #2) > Don't know about 1.5.x, but it is still happening with 3.1 beta 2. This bug was originally reported on Firefox 2.x or older, which is no longer supported and will not be receiving any more updates. I strongly suggest that you update to Firefox 3.6.8 or later, update your plugins (flash, adobe, etc.), and retest in a new profile. If you still see the issue with the updated Firefox, please post here.
