User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; hu; rv:1.8.1.4) Gecko/20070515 Firefox/2.0.0.4
Build Identifier: verzió 2.0.0.4 (20070604)
When I'm using Thunderbirdin maximized screen mode (I did not try full screen) the following happens (only in maximized screen mode!):
I click a messge in the message list, in the messge pane the message header is correctly diplayed but the previously displayed message body or the pane goes blank. This happens most of the cases about 70%
Previously I used 1.5 version I had no problem, about a week ago I let firefox to upgrade to Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; hu; rv:1.8.1.4) Gecko/20070515 Firefox/2.0.0.4
It seems to have somthing common with becase I noticed this behavior after the upgrade.
More: during this message pot I also noteiced that firefox has the same problem in maximized screen mode, downloads the page, but does not display it, until the window is unmaximized.
Best Regards,
Sándor

pop or imap?
I don't entirely follow your steps - is this 3-pane mail window? Or are you using standalone message window (which displays the message only)?

do you see anything in error console

I confirm this bug on Linux, even when the window is not maximized. The attachment pane is always shown/hidden correctly.
It usually appears after a while, restarting Thunderbird solves the problem. Nevertheless, this bug is very annoying.
The error console does not show anything.

Sándor's feedback will be more accurate than mine, if beta 3 can be tested (Because he can repro only sometimes)
Sándor look for beta 3 in a few days at http://www.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/thunderbird/early_releases/

I had this problem (and therefore added myself to the email notification list for the bug) last year for awhile -- as did a couple of other people at my office (blank message panes, but under linux, not MS windows).
I have not seen the problem since summer 2008 (we stay current with non-beta Thunderbird releases). It may be that more recent releases have eliminated this behaviour.
Has anyone experienced these symptoms recently with a Thunderbird release newer than summer 2008?
