Build Identifier: 2.0.0.4 (20070604)

I clicked on a subfolder of a local folder that had no unread messages. Right after the click, the count of unread messages (in parenthesis after the subfolder name) changed on its own to 1. I located the email that was suddenly marked unread - it was an email I had sent myself in January of 2007 and I'm certain it was not new nor explicitly marked unread by me.

I've seen this happen a few times in the past but I wasn't paying enough attention. This time I was certain that prior to the click on the subfolder, the unread count was zero and after the click it turned to 1.

Am running TB 2.0.0.4 (20070604) on WIn/XP.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Not clear. I have many subfolders in the local folder. Happens rarely.
2.
3.
I have encountered similar problem on version 2.0.0.18 on an Windows XP machine. The account has probably thousands of email, and ~50 subfolders under inbox.

What is strange is that it all the unread emails are on or before 10Aug2005. I have tried to remove all the .msf file and let thunderbird to regenerate the index, but this doesn't help. Is the unread flag stored somewhere, so I could regenerate it?
just found that my behavior is probably due to #315069 (mail imported from outlook return to unread status after rebuilding folder msf file). The problem seems disappeared, will see how it goes. Thanks
Reporter the issue is still present also with last release 2.0.0.22?
