Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.8.1.6) Gecko/20070725 Firefox/2.0.0.6 Build Identifier: 2007082604 TB 3.0a1pre on clicking on a link to a web page, I get asked which application I want to use. But when I complete the dialog box (which should be unnecessary anyway, as I have opened many web pages) and click firefox.exe, I get returned to that same selection page. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.click on a link to a web page 2.follow instructions 3. Actual Results: the web page is not opened, you just get stuck in a loop of repeatedly being asked which application to use. The name of Firefox then gets repeated an extra time in the selection box each time it is selected. Expected Results: web page opens easy -- but laborious -- work around of copying url

I think it asking once might be to consider normal, since it's a new feature. I know it asked me once... but has worked fine since. Tb doesn't have an UI access point for these entries yet AFAIK.
Summary: TB will not open links to Firefox → TB will not open links to Firefox (after selecting it in the protocol handler dialog)
Version: unspecified → Trunk
I had this issue in vista, where seams that making FF and TB default apps was not enough to associate all respective protocols with it. Cannot say I have a precise setting to point to as faulty, but I just got into Control Panel\Programs\Default Programs and see both Set edfault prog Associate file and protocol to be sure all things are assoc with TB and FF. Also, it seams to be rather common issue that windows updates change some of these settings (not only vista..) sometimes and may end up with that problem again. + I see as dupe bug 401181 bug 399110 seams similar but is linux and not clear if distro or original .. and invokes TB update as trigger. +isn't this front-end?
