I suggest adding 4xp keyword, since this is in Messenger 4 (verified with 4.7)
as well as adding [RFE] to summary.

This bug is really annoying if you have to sift through hundred of newsgroup
names to subscribe to a new one :-(

searching for folders can be remote (against server) and local (against
hostinfo.dat).  changing subject.

This is a highly requested item. Unless you know the name of a group you're 
interested in to start with from other sources there is almost no hope anyone 
will find what they want.

I sincerly hope this will be implemented in a future version. It's extremely
hard to explain (if possible at all) why users are not able to search for
groups. One of the main reasons I encountered why people are unwilling to switch
to Netscape 6.1 / Mozilla.
