Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.9) Gecko/20071025 Firefox/2.0.0.9 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.9) Gecko/20071025 Firefox/2.0.0.9 In the Bookmark sidebar, if you accidentally hit the Delete key while a bookmark folder is highlighted the folder is deleted with no warning or confirmation. This can wipe out a lot of information. Over the past year or two I've apparently done that twice (I'm not actually aware of hitting the Delete key, but a bookmark subfolder was gone so I must have.) Fortunately I've had a backup of my bookmarks file and was able to restore the whole thing -- once I noticed that something was missing. But in both cases I didn't immediately notice that something was missing. A confirmation should be required before deleting a bookmark folder, and probably also before deleting a single bookmark as well. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Display the Bookmarks Sidebar 2. In the Sidebar, highlight and delete a folder. Actual Results: The folder and all of the bookmarks that it contained will instantly be gone. Expected Results: Desired result is a request for confirmation before actually doing the delete.
Dupe of Bug 254601, which is duped to Bug 208399.
