Group Folders would allow to have folders separated from pages in bookmarks menus. Folders would be "grouped" before pages.

Ideally, "Group Folders" should change sorting to have its own menu:

This bug is about an option to tell Firefox to sort folders grouped before users'
bookmarks, as explained in Description.

The menu shown in Description would appear when right clicking a bookmark or folder. It's compatible with the menu shown in Description of bug 404542.

Windows Explorer does this automatically.
OS X Finder doesn't provide the functionality.

I don't think that we should be providing an option, but we might want to observe OS standard ways of organizing the view. That would be a seperate bug, though.

This one is WONTFIX. If you want to file a separate bug on always matching the OS standard way of organizing folders within item listing, please go ahead.

Bug 451915 - move Firefox/Places bugs to Firefox/Bookmarks and History. Remove all bugspam from this move by filtering for the string "places-to-b-and-h".

In Thunderbird 3.0b, you do that as follows:
Tools | Message Filters
Make sure the correct account is selected. Click "New"
Conditions: Body   contains   places-to-b-and-h
Change the action to "Delete Message".
Select "Manually Run" from the dropdown at the top.
Click OK.

Select the filter in the list, make sure "Inbox" is selected at the bottom, and click "Run Now". This should delete all the bugspam. You can then delete the filter.
