Now since Firefox 2.0, the default style for tab's close icon is to only display the close icon on the current tab,
while I think the Eclipse tab style is more reasonable, i.e.
Show close icon on current tab, but also show close icon on other tabs when the mouse hover on them.

Please consider this, minor code change, but with noticeable user experience improvement. :)

Reproducible: Always

Actual Results:
only show tab's close icon on current tab

Expected Results:
show tab's close icon like the style in Eclipse
The eclipse tab's close icon display style.
Pretty sure this is a dupe.

I can not find the original bug report, so please consider this suggestion anyway.
dupe or not.
Summary: [Suggestion]: Add tab's close icon display style just like in Eclipse, and make it default - display close icon on hover → RFE - Show close button [x] on tabs only on hover
Depends on: 351433

I tried enabling this today (simple enough) but it makes bug 351433 very obvious. Unfortunately I don't think there's an easy fix for that one...

We don't hide it because it's in the background or ugly, we hide it because the click target for the close button becomes too large a percentage of the tab as to easily introduce accidental closing of tabs when the tabs get narrow.

This is working as intended, and the Eclipse behavior is not something we want.
