I have an account that has home@domain.com as the primary identity. I also have work@domain.com as a secondary identity on the same account, for sending some messages so that the replies to them go straight to my work address.
When a work mate sends me email from work@domain.com, and I press Reply, the message To-field turns home@domain.com, which is definitely not what I want.
