Let's get this locale landed and ready for branching.

I'll do the initial landing of the attachment in bug 301816, most of the follow up work will be done in bugs in the dependency graph of this one.

For the QA side, I'd like to know which platforms your community can cover, as in particular the dialog sizes need testing on all three platforms.

I could not succeed in installing the langpack. firefox Bon Echo add plug-ins hangs after checking-compatibility is completed. I am amble to install other language packs properly. I will be able to support linux testing

I traced the problem to older firefox 2.0rc3 on my machine. I tried with 2.0.0.11 and I could complete the installation.

Hi,

The language pack is displaying fine on windows XP. But it is not displaying proper telugu characters on Linux with the official release from mozilla website. I see the same problem with Kannada pack. Though Hindi is displayed properly with official build.

I am not able to build pango enabled firefox, as my PC is 8 years old. I need  linux version.
Axel: Can you help add Pango enabled build as another official build supported by mozilla?

I think that some linux distros enable pango in their builds for Firefox 2, not sure. I don't think that Mozilla has any builds.

On Firefox 3, the story looks completely different. The current language packs won't work there, but you could try an B2 build, or wait a week for an B3 build, and at least look at the output of regular web pages.

Hi, 
I have tried to do get started on windows version. I found 2.0 builds for core 7 and above. I may have to upgrade my system before I can try on Linux.

Testing has started.

Attachment: Updated tarball of telugu language pack, installer, to be built and tested

Hi, 
The updated tar file of the enclosed extensive changes is enclosed.
There are errors when the newly built package is loaded and firefox is restarted on my system like one alert of Typeerror and XML parsing erros  for browser.xul. I have not done this build earlier, hence do not know how to proceed. This needs to be checked and new build is to be made. Installer build also can be made as the relevent files are translated

And the firefox 2.0.0.11 langpack is working properly in linux, windows and ready for creating the telugu version of firefox. The addons page containing the 1.0.0 version. But there are some changes need to be updated.

I just branched Telugu, I'll follow up with instructions shortly. I'm folding a few locales into one batch.
