New e-mail notifications appear in pop-up windows with a white background. High contrast themes often change the default text color to white. Therefore the notifications are impossible to read.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Change system theme to use white as the default text color
2. Open Thunderbird
3. Receive an e-mail
Actual Results:  
Unreadable notification appeared

Expected Results:  
A readable notification appears. Ideally the background color would use the system's default background color.
