User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X 10.4; en-US; rv:1.9b3) Gecko/2008020511 Firefox/3.0b3 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X 10.4; en-US; rv:1.9b3) Gecko/2008020511 Firefox/3.0b3 I cannot paste a tracking number into the appropriate box of the FedEx web site. The keyboard shortcut doesn't work, and the menu item under Edit is grayed out. This works fine in the most recent update of FF 2. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Cut text from source such as text file. 2.Go to FedEx US web site and place cursor in box for entering tracking number. 3.Press Apple-V or go to Edit menu and try to select Paste Actual Results: When you attempt to paste the text from the clipboard into the box on the form, nothing happens. Neither the keyboard shortcut nor the menu, in which Paste is grayed out, will work. Expected Results: Would have expected the text to be pasted into the web form. The same page works properly in FF 2. This is the only site so far where I have encountered this issue. I have not been able to find this bug reported before, but I may simply have been unable to locate it.

Probably a dup of bug 417108.

I still see this bug in beta 4. It was marked as a duplicate of 417109, which is listed as resolved, but it isn't fixed as I reported it for the site I mentioned (FedEx US). One additional piece of information is that if you right click in the text entry box, the context menu does have Paste active and it does allow you to paste text there. Cmd-V and the File --> Paste menu do not.

Here are the exact steps again: Specific steps to reproduce in beta 4 for Mac: 1. Copy text into clipboard. 2. Go to http://fedex.com/us/ 3. Place cursor in box where you enter a tracking number. 4. Press Cmd-V. Nothing happens. 5. Go to Edit menu - Paste is grayed out 6. Right click in text box - context menu comes up and it does permit pasting contents of clipboard.
This is a dupe of bug 375891 (see also bug 315824 comment 9).
Er, make that bug 315824 comment 5 and bug 315824 comment 10.

That looks right to me also. Just to reiterate, these functions do work correctly in Firefox 2.0.0.12.

This bug in its specific manifestation (unable to paste from clipboard using Cmd-V or the Edit menu seems to be repaired in FF 3 Beta 5.
