Please update the production site for mozillamessaging.com to the tip of the production tag. Shredder alpha 1 is live, so let's tell the world. Needed: ASAP, but it's not a big deal if it takes a few hours. Let me know if it'll be more than a day.

Updating severity after talking to reed.
Severity: normal → critical
I don't know if this was mentioned to IT before, but it's really, really, really a good idea to give us some advanced notice of this sort of thing. Last minute pushes are typically a recipe for disaster. At any rate, I will get this done shortly and will update when it has been done.

Last > minute pushes are typically a recipe for disaster. The release was announced on release-drivers@, of which infra@ is a member. Filing a critical/blocker bug for web pushes used to be very commonplace for www.mozilla.com until Kubla came along, so this isn't anything new. It's just a static website without any dynamic content, so the risk is much less than some site like spreadfirefox that uses mysql and crazy php fun-ness. www.mozillamessaging.com is just new to this life, so it still requires manual pushes by IT instead of being automated via Kubla. I'm sure as MoMo gets stuff better set up, Kubla will be set up for the site so that IT doesn't have to worry with this.
(In reply to comment #2) Mark -- thanks. This is our first release off of mozillamessaging.com, and so we're learning about all the things we're supposed to do a bit late in the process. For my education: what's the right way to give advance notice? File an early bug and say "don't do it yet?"
That would be very much appreciated. Just toss us a ticket a day in advance if it's small and more if it's huge. It's more for capacity and time planning than anything. :) Anyway, don't worry about it too much. I'll get this out for you and things will be golden!
