I've just experienced crash if I have public folders which start from # symbol. In my case tree looks like this.
#->
Docs
Stuff
etc
So "#" is name of root of tree which doesn't contain anything only folders for subscribe. Crash does happen at start time even if you not subscibed to this folder. I assume it happens when it does check CAPABILITES.
Current versions 2.x are NOT affected, Trunk IS affected in my case its TB3.0a1. I have other server with same settings only difference ALL folders named like this #Docs, #Sutff, #Etc. After migration from 2.0 it doesn't not crash but folder names are corrupted and it shows content of first folder I open in all other such folders.

Blocks: folders-with-special-characters
I tested only on gmail imap, which gave following:
-created #folder under >Gmail
-alert for command failed etc
-expanded, alert,
-than it tries to present/duplicate/ghost all the folder struct under that one too
-delete say folder doesn't exist
-restart tb
-one subfolder appears instead of top Gmail
-when click on it Gmail appears (duplicating?)
-!!Hang! while looking for folders with throbber and progress bar running continuously and really slowing all os ..
-!eventually Crash! -runtime error
-restart again
-another duplicate top-gmail folder, another hang ..
-go to webmail and no problem seams there
-delete the folder/label (gmail)
-start tb
-initially shows wrong structure and alert command failed
-subscribe, refresh
-it goes back to normal
see some attach for these structures and alerts

could it be related to
bug 286523 (though is a very long shot)
bug 416888 (even longer shot ..)
I just say that cause in comment 1 and attach, gmail imap seams to be fine with that name and only TB handles wrong by duplicating ..

It doesn't crash if I include other charters after #symbol - like this. But produce strange behavior, after restarting name #symbol for example will be empty (no text) after I select this folder name shows up. If there other folders which starts from #symbol they show same content of first folder you are opened.

ovidiu, do you have crash ID? Unfortunately I can produce crash with TB3a1 its just locks and eat up my cpu.
Nicolay,
bug 115091 may just be this. Maybe better to move discuss there ?..

No, same here. Actually crash came after interminable hang with runtime error (attach ..) I just assumed is a hang that just took too long ..
And also I got more trouble to get rid of those duplicating behavior. Eventually, deleted duplicated folders and msfs and other stuff directly.
I can try again to get a crash, but I was thinking for a new 3a2pre to play, which I did not set yet ..
