Address auto-complete functions fine. an address that is entered into the address bar, either completely manually or using auto-complete, cannot be used to navigate to a page. Pressing enter or clicking the green arrow does not result in any browser response.

Actual Results:  
nothing. Only occurs intermittently, but will occur for all tabs in the browser until the end of a  session.

Expected Results:  
expected behaviour is that FF loads the page specified.

reporter, can you reproduce this with a clean profile or in Safemode?  If not, what extensions do you having enabled in your affected profile?

This issue has been reported several times. See bug 376084, bug 440769, bug 441482, 441510 and bug 441502.

I personally run into this issue randomly (not so often) on Mac OS X from time to time. Closing the current window solves the issue.
