User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.14) Gecko/20080404 Firefox/2.0.0.14 Build Identifier: rc2 1. delete the "most visited" button in the bookmark toolbar 2. now try to add it back 3. no option i think the best place to add this option is in the "organize bookmarks" tool Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
you can also add this option in: 1. left click on the "bookmark toolbar" 2. mark with "V" next to "view most visited"
The most visited "button" is actually a "smart bookmark" it's not a button. If you deleted it, make a new smart bookmark by doing the following steps: Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks Organize > New Bookmark Give it the name: Most Visited and the location: place:queryType=0&sort=8&maxResults=10 save that and put it wherever you want. see the following link for more info: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?p=3260477&sid=7bb28673ce186510c1fe6a394991cb70#3260477 Marking INVALID.

i still think that this bug and 437823 bug are relevant because there is no easy way to restore it, if people need to search on forums to learn how to use firefox, that mean that there is a problem that need to be fixed
have you looked at bug 399984 or bug 425804 ? That's probably what you want. It's not about restoring them... these are just default bookmarks that do something cool, not special buttons. There's no special way for restoring the Mozilla bookmarks that come standard in the default profile (without wiping all your bookmarks) so there's no reason why there should be a special way to do this either.
