Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008061004 Firefox/3.0
Build Identifier: version 3.0a2pre (2008070803)
It used to be that the Sent Items folder and Junk Mail folder (regardless of name, as set by prefs), would get a special icon indicating their special status, and move to the top of the folder list.
They no longer seem to do this (even after restarts).
This is using IMAP accounts, tested on two servers (though the server should make no difference).
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Make a new IMAP account.
2. Set a folder to be Sent Items and/or Junk.
3. Restart Thunderbird (though it shouldn't be necessary, but it used to be anyways).
4. Observe.
It seems like the problem was that, by default, the sent items folder was set to "Sent" in "Local Folders"...not as bad as I thought; but that probably still shouldn't be the default.

I thought I was seeing your bug today, but instead I was seeing bug 444220. That is, since approximately 2008-06-18, the account manager does not allow you to change the junk folder. As a workaround, I revert to an earlier version of TB, change the junk folder, then return to a more current version.
So I suspect this bug should be duped to bug 444220.
