What I thought was would be a quick tour of open proxy bugs turns out to have a lot of unconfirmed and new bugs where people configure a proxy and it fails to save. This is a meta bug (does anyone still use meta bugs in b.m.o?). So, this is mostly a bug that is a list of depends bugs, which all have similar problem descriptions. The only comments here should talk about commonalities. Every open and closed bug should be linked here. --- For a start, I noticed that the reports have been coming in for all versions, as early as 1.0.x. Also, I noticed that a lot of reports are on Windows, which may or may not be useful. Maybe an ISP utility or extension is putting junk in user.js, or another prefs file (all-proxy.js?).
