449619 - quicksearch box on toolbar is not not resized to fit screen with lightning enabled

Compiled from source (running Gentoo).On 1280x1024 screen at 128dpi (and tested also at 96dpi), search box is too long.  If the window is resized larger than 1280, the edge shows up.  Also if just "Icons" is chosen for what to show in the toolbar, there is enough space.  It appears that the search box no longer resizes appropriately for the window size.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.  Open Thunderbird
Actual Results:  
Search box is too long, can't see X after searching

Expected Results:  
Search box should resize based on window size to display full box, including X at far right of the box

Things worked in 2.0.0.14.

Nothing that would have affected that changed between .14 and .16 - it shouldn't have ever worked, because we've never resized it. Other than the question of what changed for you (your system font size? added an extension? change in what Lightning puts on the toolbar? resized the window? removed an extension that was resizing it?), that's a duplicate of bug 347207.

Lightning seems to be the culprit.  The problem remains when disabling the Today pane, but goes away when Lightning is disabled.  Tested with 0.9pre (build 2008080718) and issue remains.
