Opening bug to track migrating documentation from www.mozilla.org. Eric, let me know if this content should be moved to MDC or if this is no longer relevant and should be archived.
This one I'm not sure about. I don't think we use RDF very much anymore, and will be using it even less in Firefox 3.1. Anyone else have an opinion?
How about CCing module owners on these bugs right away? Many of the docs are cruft, either outdated or just wrong, and are likely well kept in archive only. I know that the original author Dan Brickley wanted to have some of the docs archived as a statement of the early involvement of Mozilla in RDF. I don't have resources to do an in-depth analysis these days, Firefox 3.1 l10n is burning my other soul alive.
cc'ing RDF module peers and Dan Brickley.
Dan emailed me and asked me to post the following: > I agree about migrating the docs to wiki. I'll take a copy of the > historically interesting ones and put them elsewhere with some clear > 'status' on the top. There is some RDF in Moz still but it's being > migrated away from; there's a good chance people with XUL apps will > continue to encounter it for some time yet. I think the key is to have a > clear status section on each doc.
We have set up an archive site so that we could keep historically interesting pages but keep them off the main site. All of the RDF content is already there http://www-archive.mozilla.org/rdf/doc/ If you'd like to use this, you're welcome to add a disclaimer there or you could also link to the archived pages on an RDF history page hosted somewhere else.

Let's remove the content on www.mozilla.org and redirect to archive. Anything that goes beyond that can still happen, if Dan wants that, but the content on www.mozilla.org doesn't serve its purpose anymore in that context. Go ahead, says module owner.
OK, it's been archived in r87184. I preserved the redirects in the rdf directory so those should still work and all other links should be automatically sending people to the archive site. If you notice any pages not redirecting properly, let me know.
