Opening bug to track migrating documentation from www.mozilla.org. Eric, let me know if this content should be moved to MDC or if this is no longer relevant and should be archived.
Does this bug cover migrating documentation listed at http://www.mozilla.org/docs/ or documentation whose URL begins with http://www.mozilla.org/docs/ ?

I'm assuming the latter; if it's the former, a bunch of it is content that belongs on www.mozilla.org.
This is referring to content in the /docs directory on www.mozilla.org.
I can't tell from comment 2 which of the options you meant. Is it:
 (1) documentation listed at http://www.mozilla.org/docs/ or
 (2) documentation whose URL begins with http://www.mozilla.org/docs/ ?
Documentation whose URL begins with http://www.mozilla.org/docs/
I removed the following files based on the notes from MDC's Needs Redirect page that says these docs are obsolete and should be gone:

http://www.mozilla.org/docs/web-developer/sniffer/
http://www.mozilla.org/docs/netlib/
I know www.seamonkey-project.org links to <http://www.mozilla.org/docs/end-user/> at least once, so maybe Robert would like to go through the docs, and see if there's anything he'd like to migrate to the SeaMonkey web site.

To follow up on this bug, archiving legacy content is now a requirement for being able to move forward with the mozilla.org/.com merge.

If there is no plan to manually migrate this content in the short term, we will go ahead with moving this content off of www.mozilla.org and putting it someplace where you can decide what to do with it on your own schedule. That may be either the www-archive.mozilla.org site or an archive section of MDN.

dbaron, cilias, kairo, can you let me know if anything in the /docs directory on www.mozilla.org _shouldn't_ be archived?

You can view what's there at:

http://viewvc.svn.mozilla.org/vc/projects/mozilla.org/trunk/docs/
If the statement I made in the checkin comment of http://viewvc.svn.mozilla.org/vc/projects/mozilla.org/trunk/docs/end-user/internet-keywords.html?revision=65499&view=markup is still true, that warrant a bug on the SeaMonkey (help) side - mozilla.org should archive that stuff in any case, though.
I don't see anything in /projects/mozilla.org/trunk/docs that needs to be kept.
Kairo and Chris, thanks for the updates -- it sounds like neither of you have objections to archiving.

Re dbaron's feedback in comment #1, it sounds like there may be some content in /docs that we might not want to archive but it isn't clear what that is. I'll wait a little bit longer to hear back and then archive things. It's easy to bring content back or migrate it after it's been archived, so there's no reason to block on identifying those active pages right now.
/docs directory archived and redirects moved up into main htaccess file in r90470.

Please feel free to reopen if something was archived that shouldn't have been.
